Modelling of Stresses in Crankshaft of High-Powered Diesel Engine // Dvigatelestroyeniye. 2008. 4. . 911.
Stress distribution in a crankshaft of high-powered diesel engine was imitated with polarized light method, using 2-D shaft model. Imitation yielded qualitative pattern of isochoric lines, and quantitative stress distribution in fringe orders. Based on processing of fringe patterns, stress concentration factors in crankshaft fillets were determined.
